There use to be a road between the houses and where I am standing. A 12 foot diameter culvert (drainage pipe) underneath the road allowed the river to pass through. After a record 12 inches of rain in 24 hours, culvert got stuck and the road turned into a dam. Early sunday morning the road could not hold the pressure anymore.
